Alberto Ruiz, Owner & Artistic Director
A master of his profession, Alberto Ruiz has earned a reputation for innovative styling and quality hair care. Born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico, Alberto has four decades of experience mastering hair trends and technologies in the evolving culture of hair styling. He is actively engaged in international fashion trends and is a leader in the salon community through his promotion of environmentally friendly business solutions.
Alberto was honored to receive the Kevin Murphy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. He is a current Kevin Murphy diamond key cutting and styling educator. Alberto travels nationally with Kevin Murphy for educational workshops to update techniques and hair styles, and participates in hands on training and demonstrations. Lindsey Halsam, Stylist & Salon Manager
A Sandy, Utah native, Lindsey Halsam has worked side by side with Alberto over the past nine years as his assistant and salon manager. Lindsey has two decades of experience in the salon industry and has provided stylist services for the past two years. A skilled colorist, Lindsey collaborates closely with Alberto to produce creative styling solutions and techniques for applying color and creating color formulas. Lindsey enjoys meeting and interacting with clients and provides exceptional customer service as part of managing the salon.
Taylor Christensen, Assistant
Taylor Christensen was born and raised in Bluffdale Utah. After graduating from cosmetology school in 2019, Taylor joined Switch Salon as Alberto's assistant to learn best practices in cutting and styling hair. She is an experienced model and specializes in hair color and extensions. Taylor provides crucial support to the salon and excellent customer service.
